ESHAKTI CLOTHING REVIEW...

Happy fall all!

I hope the brisk weather is treating you well. Today I am writing a review on this beautiful jacket I customized on Eshakti.com

I must disclaim that the jacket was sent to me for review but everything I am about to say is my own opinion and is not mandated by the company.

I do have to say that I love this jacket and think it's perfect for fall. The black and white pattern is unique compared to the often seen browns and burgundies during this season. The coat is heavy but you definitely need to layer up underneath to keep warm.

The ordering process is one of a dream for everyday consumers like ourselves. The thing that makes EShakti.com so unique is that every thing you order is able to be customized for shape or style. There are the basics as far as height and weight but they also make necklines, sleeve lengths, bottom lengths and much more available to customize as well.

When I ordered this jacket I was able to put in my height of 5'4" and picked an overall size of 4 seeing how I often shift from 2s-4s depending on the store. It was a little bit wider than expected but at the same time thats what I love about it too. It gives its a very UK, fashion forward, chic feel.

Overall I give this product a thumbs up and an even bigger one to the online shopping experience and highly suggest you check out their website the next time you'e doing some online shopping.

Much love,

ALTERNATIVE FASHION COLORS FOR FALL 2014...

Hello All! I hope your fall season has been treating you well.

I apologize for the lack of posts since this summer. My life has been in a huge transition, one bigger than most college students and I'm still trying to get everything organized so I can commit to posting on here again.

It will happen though. I actually have quite a few things in the planning stages right now.

I'm excited to share with you that one of these projects has come to life! I was asked to be featured on Iron Fist Clothing's blog for my opinion on fall color trends. To check out the piece click here.

Be on the lookout for upcoming posts because they are on there way.

Much Love,

PEPLUMS AND PEARLS...

Hello all! I hope your summer has been treating you right. Can you even believe it's August already?

Today's outfit is full of flirty summer vibes. I'm currently in Texas so I've been able to go shop at some different stores than what I'm used to!

I found this peplum for a fairly reasonable price at Papaya. I'm slightly obsessed because it does remind me of something you might find in Barbie's closet. It's definitely putting me in a state of nostalgia. College coming up in just a few weeks makes me somewhat wish I was four years old again playing with my Barbies; but obviously that can't happen so dressing in a top she might wear will just have to do.

I love the low cut 'V' in the back and the florals and bright colors give it that extra girly touch.

These adorable black shorts are from Forever 21. It's hard to tell from the photo but they have a cuff on the bottom so you're able to avoid the spandex look.

I decided to take a risk with the pearl chain necklace. In most cases when both the necklace and the shirt are busy they clash. Something about this outfit though made it unconventionally work.

Top: Papaya ($12.00)
Shorts: Forever 21 ($9.80)
Necklace: Target (Previously Owned)
Sandals: Target ($19.99)

PALE PINK CHECKERED DREAMS...

Hey Everyone! I'm so excited to share this outfit with you today. I can't begin to tell you how comfortable it is. After taking these photos I actually went home and fell asleep in it, oops! The black Jersey tank top is free flowing but still has a flattering fit which is perfect for the summer heat.

I've also become obsessed with this pair of pale pink checkered shorts. The pattern is not something you're used to seeing and lightens up the look and gives the outfit a fun girly vibe.

I spiced up this somewhat simple look with a cute white floral headband. I definitely plan to wear this outfit to an upcoming summer concert!

Shorts: H&M ($17.95)
Hair Band: H&M ($7.95)

ROYAL ROMPER...

For today's post I am featuring an adorable royal blue romper. I think this piece in particular is great for summer because of it's light airy feel. It's perfect for those days when it's just too hot to be wearing anything else.  You're able to move freely in it and you're not constantly having to adjust.

The black lace trim is what made this piece catch my eye in the store. The two colors fit together perfectly and the lace gives the romper that little special something.

I paired it with an all black sunhat that includes and adorable black bow in the back. The bow is the perfect touch to the hat because it's not too flashy.  For footwear I chose a simple pair of black sandals that I previously owned. I believe I purchased them for somewhere around $15.00 at Marshalls.

Sunhat: Target ($15.99)
Sandals: Marshalls (Previously Owned)

DANCING THE DAYS AWAY...

Today I will be taking dance classes from the very talented Ivan Koumaev and Lyle Beniga. Both are dancers on Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience tour.  I haven't danced in a few years so I'm excited to be back at it! Here's what I plan on wearing tonight.

Everything you see pictured above are items I've previously owned. This post is more to give you an idea for something you could dig up out of your own closet so there's no need to go spend money. *Insert self-applause for not acting upon my shopaholic tendencies*

The white crop top I got from Target a few months back. It's such a staple piece that it wouldn't be hard to find in any store. The black workout leggings I picked up from T.J.Maxx for under $20. They're breathable and offer a lot mobility.

I bought the bright red flannel at an upstate thrift shop for about $5. It might seem silly to be wearing a long sleeve flannel in the summer but it's very important to get your body temperature up during warmups to avoid injury. Throwing this on for the first few minutes of class will prevent that and once it gets too hot you're easily able to wrap it around your waist. To finish the outfit I paired it with my old pair of converse.

I have another outfit I will be posting later this week so be sure to stay tuned!

Much love,

Note: I ended up changing my outfit last minute before the class because well... I'm a girl, and that's just what girls do.

INSPIRED LOOK: ARIANA GRANDE EDITION...

For today's post I decided to channel my inner Ariana Grande. If any of you know me personally, or see my countless tweets about her, you already know how obsessed I am. Somehow I knew it wouldn't take long before I recreated her style on here.

To copy her look I took a spin on her love for two-piece sets. I paired a black drop-waist quilted skirt with a simple dark grey crop top.

For shoes I picked up a pair of cute black suede posh almond toed pumps.  Being only 5 feet tall, you can usually find Ariana in a pair of cute heels to give her some extra height. They are a must if you're trying to recreate her look.

Finally, I accessorized the outfit with simple and sophisticated jewelry you could find 50s movie icons like Audrey Hepburn in. It gives the look a classy feel and keeps things simple and elegant.

Top: H&M (Previously Owned)
Sunglasses: Banana Republic (Previously Owned)
Jewelry: Forever 21, Coach (All Previously Owned)
